“Do you know that Adam was with Eve when she collected the fruit from the serpent?”
“No,” I said. “I don’t think so.”
“How could he be there? He had gone to work only to come back tired and had to eat whatever his wife presented to him to eat. I think that’s what happened and in fact this is what I’ve taught severally also.”
He paused for a moment, smiled and then said; “let’s check it out in the Bible.”
Personally I love to hear things that are new or contradict my held belief system. So I listened attentively to Pastor Chucs, author of the bestseller, Get Up and Win Today, as he shared a few insights from his upcoming book for men as we drove to the camp.
So our friend in the backseat of the car read to us aloud:
“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, WHO WAS WITH HER, and he ate it.” Genesis 3: 6
Did you just see that?
Adam was right there when the whole discourse that led to the downfall was taking place
Can you imagine that?
Adam was there when the serpent offered the forbidden fruit to Eve?
What’s wrong with the guy?
Why didn’t he put his feet down on the experiment and asked the serpent to relocate immediately.
More questions than answers.
Men Must Use Their Authority in Their Homes Effectively
As a man, there is a greater responsibility on you regarding the welfare, peace and prosperity of your home and society.
You must know when to put your feet down and say, “No. This is wrong. We won’t get involved.”
You must know when to rise and give spiritual commands in your home and ask spiritual oppression to relocate.
God looks more on you as man to influence the activities in your family and as well as that of your neighborhood
So stand strong in your authority today.
As Long As Man Didn’t Eat the Fruit There Was No Fall
Did you also notice that even when Eve ate the fruit, they didn’t fell yet until she convinced her husband, Adam, to eat too?
It was after Adam had eaten the fruit that the Bible now talked about them falling.
I think it’s high time we men accept our spiritual placement and begin to release this in a positive way.
I pray that as a man you don’t keep silent when you are supposed to…
…speak out and stamp your authority over moral and spiritual developments in your home and neighborhood.
Woman, Help Your Man!
We live in days of calls for women rights and all that. I’m personally okay with all that but on a personal note, I advise women to recognize and accept the leadership of the men God has placed over them as their husbands.
A man’s pocket may be empty, but he still possesses spiritual authority to navigate things in his home.
That a woman is more blessed financially in a family setting does not mean she is now better placed to run the home.
Women should learn to help their men fulfill their place of leadership both in the family and in the society with wisdom.
Talk to you later.
